23. The best tonic after 2 1/2 hour drive

One thing I’ve always been curious about is how even when we feel a bit ‘bleh’ after a long drive or a sleep maybe, where doing exercise can seem so far out of reach, that once we get going, how much the bleh can turn into yeah.

That was today.

We were in Canberra to celebrate good friend Jonathan Doyle’s 50th. If you are looking for an incredible speaker, he meets spec. In fact he’s one guy that from a distance inspires me with his own health and fitness efforts.

2 1/2 hours driving isn’t particularly intense but it was a late night and Sunday nights can feel, well you know.

So I was proud of myself for pushing through the bleh.

Especially as I consider this is only my third hit out post COVID.
