I’m already noticing unexpected perks in going for a run.
Pleasant surprises that happen because you decide to put the gear on and get out there.
Park Run is a fantastic initiative that happens weekly around the world.
Now that I’m a runner (let’s unpack that comment later) it’s only natural that I do this.
It means I get to run with Danielle and my youngest son, Billie.
That’s a perk run for me for sure.
And the feeling of seeing myself be able to do this time after having done a few longer runs now, is another perk…

It’s not that fast for me, I did 22 minutes only a few years back but from where it felt like my body was not so long ago (let’s also unpack that one later), this feels good…
The short version is that during COVID, I struggled to run 500m because I was struggling to breathe.
In other news, Billie cranks a 5k out at 20 minutes… fit, young, footballer.
The physical impact is fabulous, the mental impact is indescribable.
6 down… ? to go.
Let’s keep going #whileistillcan
