5. Getting Stronger Quickly!

That’s how I titled this run on Strava and it’s true.

Because Danielle says so.

Ha! She’ll laugh at that, because we both know I don’t always think THAT’s true!

But gee she offers me so much that helps. Even if I don’t always think that it’s helpful at first…

She’s a wonderful challenger. Fact checker? Let’s not go so far as to say a lie detector. We can all miss perspectives that are helpful.

As a nurse, she knows plenty about health and has a very rounded understanding of what our bodies are capable of, particularly at certain ages, due to her own disciplined fitness work and knowledge, through her following of the fitness world.

She says I’m pretty amazing for a 50 year old.

Which bloke doesn’t love hearing that!? And of course it’s important for me to remind her that I’m still ONLY on the doorstep of 50, my darling.

I’m staring down the 1 hour 10k with a ‘you’re mine!’ look and I’ve only been running 5 times.

I agree with Danielle, my body is amazing.
